Post-challenge: I think my photography is improving, slowly but surely. I think the consensus is that the focus was completely off. I knew it when I submitted it, and probably should have refrained. As for the wrinkles and flaws in the peppers, I like for photographs to include imperfections...there is beauty there. I can see getting rid of a sun glare that's distracting, but not a bruise on a pepper :-)

i think the focus would have worked better if it had been on the opened pepper instead of further away.

It looks like the camera is focused on the yellow pepper in the background, not the seeds in the foreground.

Idea is good & right for the challenge but the colors are washed out and the seeds are out of focus.

your DOf has left the subject of the photo, the seeds , out of focus. And I find it distracting that the peppers that are in focus are mottled and have a black spot... : (

The focus is off. It should be on the seeds with the backgound blurred if you need to. Lighting could be a little better. Other than that it is a nice photo. 6

Nice photo, but sadly on a challenge specific to Seeds, the seeds are out-of-focus... :(

I think this would have been a better photo if you had focused on the seeds in the gutted pepper. I like the array of colors you used for the intact peppers, though!

The focus is off, or well as I see it the gutted pepper is the main subject and it's not in focus.

I like your idea but the focus should be on the front pepper including the seeds and not on the peppers in the back.

I think you choice of focus let you down here. Color, light are good but the composition is weak.

Your DOF is wrong for this photo. The background is in focus yet the foreground with the seeds is not.

DOF too far to the rear. Get your main subject (the front pepper) in focus then let the back peppers go soft or stop down and keep it all in focus.
