This had the potential to be a super entry into the flight challenge but your choice of how to crop it created a very weak entry. The photo comes across as being very boring in the state that it is right now. You placed your subject in the center of the frame so that you could capture the pier as well as the buildings. Had you cropped it differently it would have improved the entire image. There is to much nothing at the top and the pier as pretty as it is doesn't do much for the shot. Cropping out some of the blue sky and most of the pier would greatly improve on this.
Also pay more attention to the little details. You can easily crop out your shadow from the corner.
As for meeting the challenge, you did do that nicely with a little touch of humor. I enjoyed the refreshing comedy of this photo. Nice attempt at the challenge. |

Hey ... let's have the cape and the cute leotards too! |

This shot IMO would be much better if the photographer was cropped out (and the possibly if the buildings in background were blurred.) |

funny, very bad shadow of the photographer which had been very easy to crop out, so that make's it a bit sloppy. |

Not exactly faster than a speeding bullet is he? Let's face it - he's going nowhere fast and it looks like SuperMat left the rest of his gear in the phone box.
Composition isn't good (shadow of photographer visible). I'd have cropped it tighter and made it portrait - leaving lots of sky. |

This is a fun picture. Seems like he's in flight. Love the shadow on the ground. It also notice you there. lol. The beautiful blue hue of the sky frames this shot perfectly. |

Nice use of thirds. Looks a little oversharpened - not too keen on the bright outlines of some parts. I'm not sure if this meets the challenge. |

The title works better than the picture. |

:-) Photographer's shadow is a distraction. It's nice and clear and I like the lighting too. I'd like to see something similar with the photographer closer to and below the subject - would give a greater sense of height (and flight). |

Super Mat, funny! Wish you'd cropped out your shadow down the bottom left hand corner tho. |

Neat shot. Love that you have the famous holiday area of Brighton included in your photo. [I love looking at it there]The young man is perfect for this shot in his blue shirt. Nice work. The sunlight [sunset?] is really a bonus. |

Such a brilliant idea... for heaven's sakes why didn't you get down to the seafront where it's more photogenic? And watch out for including your shadow in the shot. Maybe you could have persuaded a swimmer to pretend they were in trouble... 5 |

Hehehe... funny. :-) I see the shadow of the photographer... booboo #1. The colors are good but a full superman costume would've helped! :-)

Brighton is doomed!
Looking at this I think you could have done something funky with the shadow, unfortunately it's the best part of the shot for me. |
