 A big thanks to Chris for the use of his Far Side books, and for being such an animated model. =)

A lot of post processing: Neat Image, cropped, levels, selective color, unsharp mask, cloned out the big toe and adjusted the levels to the top of it, cloned over some of the face & shoulder skin tone to make it more even and cartoonish, deleted the back wall and added a blue to white gradation (love these amended rules!), blurred the edges of Chris's head and shoulders to make him blend in more naturally, painted over the words on the sign to make them more readable, painted in Gary Larson's tribute signature to the upper left hand corner, added the traditional Far Side border, more Neat Image, and resize.

After Challenge: Wow, thank you all so much for all the votes & wonderful comments! I'm extremely happy about my second ribbon - especially for this challenge, being such a big Larson fan.

Congrats on your yellow. Seems that I'm usually lucky (or unlucky) enough to critique a lot of ribbon winners.

This is a great take on Larson. Done superbly. The colors in this are great. Amazing expression on his face.

My only suggestion would be to use less Neat Image. The skin looks a bit plasticy. I think what saved that part is the fact that this is a cartoon repro.

I really enjoyed this photo.

Normally I wouldn't care for this much neat image / noise reduction, but since we're talking about cartoons it works. It looks like you had fun with the major element clause negated, but didn't go overboard, which is pretty cool. I think this shot is done well, in addition to being quite funny.
