Very interesting portrait. Love the b&w. Focus is perfect as is the lighting. The smoke and the hair really make this great! I like how the thumb rests below the cheek. Excellent photo! |

Maybe a bit too much smoke, but pretty damn cool shot. |

Pretty much the same comments as the first shot, but I also wanted to mention that I love the sharpness on the eye. Good stuff! |

I like this better than the other day (was it Left Eye). The smoke completely obscuring the left eye, the buttons on the shirt, the texture of the coat and the consistency of the light on the hand (in the other shot its just one fingertip that's bright). |

Fantastic lighting job! You are too cool for school. :)
I'm gonna try slicking my hair back like that. ...uh, oh- I forgot. :( |

You multi-task well. Left eye, right eye - WOW.
Love the smoky shots. |

Again with the cool lighting technique. Hair slicked back adds nicely to the atmosphere, too. |

Again.. awesome lighting here jd. Yikes - get a fire extinguisher! (a bit heavy on the smoke, maybe?) I think i liked Day 5 a bit better - it seemed a bit more natural, yet there's something about the piercing focus effect on your eye this one! |
