This is badazz waz... Lighting, Tones, pose and expression is spot on... great shot.

I would try something like this but I am allergic to suits... :)

Great lighting and the centered composition was a good choice. This really works as a b/w since most of the elements already are, and your expression of concentration really adds to the shot. Excellent capture!

I'm responsible for at least 6 or so of your views so far. I really, really like this. I think someone else already mentioned this would have worked for the next free study, but I'm glad you posted it here instead - that way it gets appreciated a whole lot more than the standard 2 second view in challenge voting.

Everyone else has already covered the technicals. I just love the feel of it.

Wow! That's one hellofa shot. I think you nailed the lighting perfectly. The detail in the coat and hat are nice and subtle. I made a big chunk of my living playing blues and r&b in clubs for 20 years. This brings a smile to my face as it evokes a lot of good memories. Thank you for shareing wonderful photograph. :)

This is outstanding. Beautiful as a matter of fact. Love the symmetry with the diagonal line of the guitar breaking it up. I like how the shirt is highlight, the hat and jacket is shadow, and the skin is mid tones. COOL BEANS man.
