Critique Club Review:
Very nice lighting and tonal qualities. Makes me almost wish the grass were a shade of blue.
A larger tree, a little furter back would have been nice. the tree follows the rule of thirds, but what keeps popping into my gaze are those great layered blue hills. They work so well against the sky that they tend to become the subject, and the tree and grass more of a distraction.
This is a really nice picture, unfortunately the tree just isn't strong enough to hold center stage. |

I like the graphic feel to this one. Nice toning on the background hills. |

I like the mood of your shot. Perhaps I would have cropped a litte stronger at the top side. Good luck for the challenge! |

Diminutive against such a landscape but solitary, none-the-less. |

Although at first glance this photo looked similar to other "single tree on a hill" it had that something extra i.e. the blue hills in the background add greatly. It is a pity composition wise that the tree is not a little taller with the top running into the first of the blue hills. None the less it has my vote. |

pretty cool. I like the layers in the background. It's a shame there is so much sky, because the land is so interesting here. I think a lower POV, with less sky might have worked even better. 6 |

Pretty setting. It seems a touch underexposed, probably due to the time of day or weather conditions. With advanced editing and some basic adjustments (levels, curves) I think you could enrich the overall quality of this image by just playing around. Hope this is helpful. ;~D |
