OK - Cloning galore! These are our neighbors across the street. Bob & Donna are the hand models in Aimees success shot. I caught them after church so they were still in their nice clothes. This is not the greatest picture of all time and I screwed up the body positions (Donna should have been standing inbetween Diane and Bob so I could see her face) but it was fun and these friends are very heplful and willing. As of Thursday they havent seen the end product yet - they will really think we are nuts.

Bobs foot is up because he was shooing away their small dog Waggles (cloned out). I think it adds to the oddness of the shot. I had wanted to try two other shot - "what dogs really hear" and "beware of Doug" but I ran out of time this week.

Post process - Cloned out table, lamps, clock, wall hangings, dog and probably a couple of other things, levels, saturation, burning, flipped pic on the horizontal, moved Bobs head to the proper place, painted inthe spring, made a paintbrush of Larsons signature, cropped, border, enlarged canvas, added text, border again. Hope this stays above a 5. I predict Aimees shot to do a ton better than mine.

Post challenge - my original
Thanks for all the votes and comments all - a great challenge

Extremely good clone work on this! I've been going back and forth between the original and the finished one and I'm quite in awe of what you were able to do. My only suggestion - take it back into PS and tone down the yellows a lot and the reds a bit in hue/sat and see if you like it better. Great score and great finish, even if Aimee did beat you. :-)

Great work on this shot! Definitely underrated. I like it even more, knowing the story of your cooperative neighbors. Photography sure can make one do some funny stuff, huh? Have they asked for a framed print for their wall, yet?

I thought this would have been in the Top Ten.
It's funny that you say they were in their "nice clothes". That jusr makes one wonder what they usually wear. ;>þ

I expected this image to have bubbled to the top 5. Regardless, its effect is very funny and remains one of the most creative images in this challenge. Congratulations on your 13th place finish.

A smaller type would have worked just as well, but the impact remains unaltered. This is perhaps one of the funniest entries wherein a slight displacement is used in an otherwise purely photographic environment. Even the purist would have to agree that this an ingenious employment of the rules to create a great effect. Bump.

:-D Very Far Side from the presentation of the concept, execution and the composition with caption included. Love the expression on Earl's face. He is very smug and pleased with himself!
