Well, what a mission. I tried to get a flame to fill the beaker, which didn't work, so for this shot I rubbed meths on the floor surrounding the beaker, as well as on the beaker itself, which created the blanket type effect. Also took a few shots spraying an open flame with a deodorant aerosol, which looked pretty cool, but in the end decided to go with this one. The most difficult part was choosing a photo to submit.

this should have been voted much higher, I gave it a 9, and was top 3 for me. The colours are outstanding and the flames make this shot real. Great ;-)

Nice image, but IMO it could use a bit more contrast.

This looks elaborate and dangerous, just like chemistry should be.
A touch dark on my monitor though.

Exciting, this photo would be spectacular were it not for the grainyness

Very pretty and fun idea. Can't really tell much about it, so I think that hurts it.

A little on the dark side for me but a good idea and a nice reaction going on there.

Wow - that's pretty scary looking. A great example of chemical reaction ... This might benefit from noise reduction and a pumnp in the hightlights.

Way way to dark for my taste.
