great score but this should of got a higher placing. I really think this offset composition and sillouette of tree make a nice addition to that rich sky. Nice job and im sorry the DPC mafia did not lobby for you here.

Not entirely sure how Elsapo's image gets blue.. and you end up 109th...

Especially with that travesty of a red ribbon there.. The "neat image to look like vaseline" is in again I guess.

good choice of subject - nice colors too.
criticism:
-tree takes up slightly too little space for my tastes. cropping a bit from the top and left would have been okay.
-black border creates a very high-contrast area on the edges of the photo. this is bad, because contrast draws the eye, and so i find myself looking more to the edge than to the tree. notice that the magenta/black in the upper left has higher contrast than the lavender/black around the tree. |
