 A cold war era Nike missile site atop mount Gordon Lyon in the Chugach Mountains near Anchorage, AK. This is one of the radar clamshells that protected one of the site's radars fromt he elements. This was the only Nike missile site that would do live firings of the missile (2 a year, I believe). Chemistry tie in is the rust - the relationship between the elements (The Chugach is one of the snowiest places on earth) and the man-made structure meant to protect the state from Soviet bombers.

Obsucre when it comes to chemistry, at least to me. Iron oxide (rust) is a chemical - but the concept is diluted by the landscape.
