Challenge: Rule of Thirds II (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon PowerShot A95
Location: Lübeck, Germany
Date: Sep 4, 2006
Aperture: 2.8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 10s
Galleries: Sky
Date Uploaded: Sep 5, 2006

Taken on a very stormy and foggy night. I chose a 10s exposure to create the diffuse glow with rushing clouds. It was hard to predict what would happen in those 10 seconds: sometimes large clouds covered the whole scene, sometimes there were none. Finally there was no shot which convinced me totally.
I just wish I could use selective editing to bring out the stars a bit more...

Nevertheless: I like this one. Simple, easy and a bit surreal. Hope you like it too though I'm afraid this won't do very well.

I really enjoyed this photo. Im a huge fan of night sky photos, and your capture here of the stars are great. We don't get to see that many stars here where I live.

stars were blue or white?? orange light wasn't orange what gives? 10 sec exposure on the light fixture makes it "real". The photo works! Well done

amazing. with a simple bit of desaturation (and a tortuous angle) you manage to transform a banal scene into something otherworldly.

Pretty cool and tack sharp. A bit of a nag is the sign that leads out of the frame but I like this one. 9

Very nice clarity. I hope the light is always green. Sorry, nothing helpful to add. Maybe a 10 will make up for it. 10

Wonderful lighting and exposure control here. Title ties in well also. ROT's is working just fine. Fun to look at and great color tones. Very crisp and clean. Well done! Good luck in the challenge.
