curves, autolevels, dodge wire, colour balance to compensate for sunset, USM, noiseware, resize, USM, save for web.
Believe it or not, this is part of the fence on one side of my yard (minus the tulle, of course). I knew it wouldn't score well, because it's not "DPC-pretty", but I figured there'd be more than enough "pretty" in a pastel challenge.
It wasn't the shot I'd planned, but I do like it, and I'll get a chance to do the other for a later challenge. :)
Thanks for all your comments, and a special thanks to Posthumous for making my day :D |

I was your solo 10, and this was one of my ribbon winners. You used a common piece of tulle to such great dramatic effect, simply by juxtaposing it against rusted barbed wire. Amazing how that juxtaposition transforms the fabric, forces it to represent something, and at the same time forces the barbed wire to represent something. That is what the artist/photographer does: impose meanings on the world around her. |

Wow, the extreme opposites for an interesting composition. Try to clean THAT with the loofah! I give you a 7. Good luck in the challenge. |

I think this could have worked better if the tuile had been a pastel color to contrast the pink background. the barbed wire is a bit dark and commands your focus. |
