Ok, for those that wish to know how this was done, here goes... It's really nothing more than a pimped out version of an old parlour trick. The one where you take a lighter and roll the wheel slowly so as not to ignite the flint, then tap the flint onto a flame or other heat source and it will "explode" in midair like you see here. It took me over 50 frames to get everything right. 1/2 second exposures made the timing rather tricky. pretty. I would have taken out some of the negative space on the left and the right and made this photo thinner to accent the height.

Great composition. Beautiful sharpness in the shot. The burnt wax with it's ash make the candle real. Love the sparks lighting up the background. Gives the shot even more interest.
