Once again I find myself using a Dollar Store product. I already entered a picture I made of these erasers for another challenge, but I couldn't resist another.

Originally I bought these along with a bunch of school supplies, because our church makes up packages of supplies along with back packs to give to less fortunate students. I liked these colourful erasers so much, I kept a few. This is ONE of the results of my latest shoot. (last minute, as is often the case.) Desk lamps and a flood provided the light.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

I concur with all of the positive comments below!

In this image, I see a unique presentation of a flower, created with rainbow erasers. The rainbow erasers are enough of a clue to me that this is a photo with a bit of whimsy. The colors you've chosen--especially the red background--work well to emphasize this further.

It looks like some folks did not think this was a macro shot and scored you lower, but we won't go there, since I'm not so sure when a normal shot ends and when a 'macro' shot begins.

The funky shape of the stem reinforces the whimsy feel to the photo. I like the negative space on the right; to me it implies that there are other funky things in the world of this groovy flower.

I find your colors fun, but slightly desaturated and hazy; you may have lost some color to the web here, or you may want to boost them, and the darker tones in your image, to give a feeling of more clarity.

This is a fun shot that is true to itself!

Best of luck for the future!

David

nice color selections, pretty clear photo, I like the idea you went with here....

I like the coloring and the composition, but this isn't really a macro or close-up.

Hmm, Google language tools tells me this means 'The rubber Art to cancel' from Italian to English. Not speaking any Italian, this has me completely baffled. Interesting shot though, although I don't like the noise levels (which could have been helped with NeatImage), and the shadows. The shadows don't look clear enough to be deliberate, so it's difficult to tell what kind of lighting effect you were after. I think your title is something along the lines of creating art from rubber erasers, and I'm not sure art is really what has been created here. 6

Interesting and playful. A little bit heavy on the negative space.

very nice color, design is noce and simple but strong

These don't really appear as marco erasers to me. The colors are great and the composition is interesting for the eye. I just don't see macro here.

very nice idea, very original, I would have used a little different lighting to avoid the shadows on the right side.
