Critique Club Review:
Interesting picture....
The horizon is just about along the upper rule of thirds line.
The horizon is a little curved. Wide angle lens? I see a cloudy sky, so no shadows makes sense. However, the sky near horizion is so bright as to be blown out and featureless. The spray winds up dissapearing into it. I would have liked it a bit better, if that hadn't happened.
Otherwise color, saturation, and hue, as well as focus and depth of field work very well.
I like this picture. |

I am amazed that this photo wasn't in the top 10. You did a wonderful job! Keep up the good work. I would still love a print of your work from this challenge! |

Good depth of field and symetry. Looks like thirds to me! |

Interesting. This takes some studying to see the rule of 3rds. But once you see it, you get it. Here is how I see it. The subject is the splash of water that hits the end of the concrete. There are 2 main lines dividing the image visually and they are perfectly at the 1/3rd positions. The horizon and the line of shadow under this first broken piece even though it isn't seen all the way across. I think this is one of the best examples of this challenge so far. |

OK the shot is divided in 3 horizontal parts, but not according to the thirds rule. I'm afraid I do not think it meet the challenge. |

Pretty cool photo. Nice motion capture of the wave. For this challenge, I would like this better if the horizon and the large horizontal stone were closer to the thirds lines. |

"...your points of interest should be placed on the intersections of those lines...": what is that point of interest?
Anyway a good picture. |
