 This is my wife Henny, I haven´t posted a shot of her since early March this year in the Square Crop challenge. Since then we have worked with a couple of dozen models and kindof gotten out of our groove in working as a photographer/model, both of us have gotten more used to working as a photographer/makeup artist+stylist so we probably won´t be doing a lot of photos of her in the future, at least not model photos but more normal family stuff, we don´t really feel comfortable doing this anymore, both of us want to be behind the camera these days.

Anyway, lit with two reflectors. This time smali and his girlfriend helped out, Siggi (smali) by helping out holding the bigger reflector but our kids actually came along to this photoshoot and Siggi´s girlfriend watched them for the half hour this photoshoot took place. I held the other smaller reflector.

Not much editing except for adjusting wb, contrast, exposure and saturation, the basic raw stuff. Then a slight shadow highlights adjustment, cropped off to a 4:3 ratio (cut off the left part of the photo), added some vignetting and curves to increase contrast somewhat. Also did some small dodging of the backround and some slight burning to bring back her jawline, it wasn´t really visible in the original.

Not expecting this to do really well but since we went through the trouble of taking it specifically for this challenge, in it goes, I am aiming for those 52 challenges this year as soon as possible.

Beautiful subject. I feel like her skin has lost a lot of detail - it feels too soft to me. I would have liked to see both eyes in focus.

Lovely photo, lovely girl. I suppose skin colour could be called a pastel. I am not sure if it is the makeup or the processing but she doesn't have a lot of detail in her face, she looks too fake.

This is absolutely a primo portrait. I wish her lips were pink (just to suit the challenge a tad more) but technically - perfect in every way. She is a beauty too.
