 Taken using my light box and a CD case. I got in tight and tried to create an angle to bring the viewer into the shot.

The editing here was a crop to balance top and bottom space for tighter composition.

I feel like I should know what this item is but just can't quite "see" it LOL, but like the DOF and composition!

Hmmm, I've looked at this for quite some time, trying to figure out what it is, and I can't :-) I find that really cool. This is a great abstract. I really like how it is just black and white. Great idea. The composition works really well for me. I like the image. Interesting, engaging, really cool. Well done!

As an industrial design or a product illustration this might work. There is some interest due to the shallow dof. Not enough to make it interesting for me I'm afraid.

Interesting, but I really have no idea what I am looking at,
but,
I can still say nice shot - unique, abstract and clear.
(actually it looks like one of those towel holder "thingies" that you push the towel into)
