What a wonderful portrait and opportunity you had to take it - thank you for sharing the story of it. I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm certain if this picture is any indication, he was very well loved and will be fondly remembered. |

Wonderful Portrait! Very Moving. Torn between liking the tonal grey and wanting more contrast, can't decide, but REALLY like it! |

Nice black & white with excellent tones & details.
I have the feeling this is a family member or friend, and was taken in the Hospital? The title and this shot have a certain emotional content, even to someone like me - a total stranger. Well done! |

Very nicely taken photo. Your subject is probably exceptional as well - his dignity and humour are obvious. |

Composition: 6 - There's nothing particularly wrong with the composition here, it shows everything it needs to very well. I'm just not a fan of how there is so much white space at the bottom of the border.
Technical: 6 - Very nice B&W work, but just lacks a little contrast in my opinion. I'd brighten up the whites a little.
Creativity: 7 - Very emotive portrait. The setting along with the expression of the man bring up a lot of questions.
Appeal: 7 - It gives you a lot to think about, and has great little details which keep me looking a long time.
Overall Calculated Average Score: 6 |
