I used channel mixer, mostly on the red channel, to convert to black and white. I used curves and black/white for a harsher silent movie look. Then I converted to duotone for a sepia look, but tried to degrade the image even further. Then I resized and used USM to degrade the image further still. So much work to bring my score down, but I wanted to obscure all those trees in the background. Trees in a western?

post-challenge: I confess, I've never seen this movie. I just looked for movie titles that had "whip" in them. This was the only good title. I lucked out in that it is such an obscure movie that you can't even find stills of it online.

This should have done way better. it was a great job on the PP to get it to feel like a movie.
