this is nice; very reminiscent of lost in translation. not sure about the b&W though, and also the tops of the stepping stones / trunks appear a bit overblown. personally, i think because of the film relation, the lack of a human element is more obvious than it would normally be, and consequently it feels as if something is missing... the crop is also a bit biased to one side, and it feels a tad unbalanced. likeable nonetheless. 7. |

Technical: the contrast and lighting is great, i love the B&W
Creativity: very creative...the pieces keeps your eye moving!!!

interesting shot but I think it might have been cool in color(maybe not) I would like it more if the stone o the left wasn't cut off. |

Great photo, simple, effective, good use of black and white. Would have got an extra point for the step on the left being completely in frame. |

Somehow, I think you might have made more of the similarities between the lily pads and the stones. Those variations on a theme of circles might an add an element that I think is missing otherwise - in that this, whilst well toned, quite nicely composed (I have reservations about the left-hand stone) depends purely on those stones for its impact, and that is maybe not enough alone? |
