Nice black and white photo. The bright stumps make it look as if the path is lighting the way.

this is nice; very reminiscent of lost in translation. not sure about the b&W though, and also the tops of the stepping stones / trunks appear a bit overblown. personally, i think because of the film relation, the lack of a human element is more obvious than it would normally be, and consequently it feels as if something is missing... the crop is also a bit biased to one side, and it feels a tad unbalanced. likeable nonetheless. 7.

It's the garden at Heian Jingu, I guess.

interesting shot but I think it might have been cool in color(maybe not) I would like it more if the stone o the left wasn't cut off.

Great photo, simple, effective, good use of black and white. Would have got an extra point for the step on the left being completely in frame.

Somehow, I think you might have made more of the similarities between the lily pads and the stones. Those variations on a theme of circles might an add an element that I think is missing otherwise - in that this, whilst well toned, quite nicely composed (I have reservations about the left-hand stone) depends purely on those stones for its impact, and that is maybe not enough alone?
