Thanks to Bob for highlighting this. It's one I didn't reach when viewing At Rest entries - I got through about half and commented on those I liked.
This is a lovely image - fantastic use of DOF, great low perspective, strong off-centre composition, great use of diagonal. Colour feels a little over-saturated but that's a minor point.

| great shot. this is only one of the first "pet" pics that i have seen, and can already tell that there won't be many better, if any. good dof, and composition. the textured material is nice too. it looks like a pair of jeans or something? nice work. |

| My favourite shot this challenge, just fantastic. Beautiful textures, colours and use of light. Although the cat's face is JUST out of focus, this looks deliberate and is very effective. The sharp focus of the material in the foreground looks great, especially with such a narrow dof. If only every pet picture this challenge had such a thought out background. Everything is exposed perfectly, difficult given the large range of tones here. Well done. 10 |

| This photo really stood out from all the other cat photo's to me. I really like how his ears stick out to the side. I also like the low apeture, it gives the photo a real portrait look. Great job! |

| This little guy is all over adorable. But beyond that I love the difference of color between him and the chair or whatever it is he's sleeping on. His face is definitely what draws your attention and the focus on it is excellent in my opinion. Great job! |
