Thank you pineapple :) This is actually the oldest part of Iceland carved by ice-age glaciers and other forces of nature.

Dramatically isolated and chilly land mass there. Nicely photographed and, as you say, interesting from above. As a geologist, I can imagine a number of ways those shapes were created. I would love to visit and take a walky look-see...
