 Construction cranes as viewed from the Wellington waterfront. The two cranes are about a quarter mile apart. I got this perspective by positioning myself at the right point on the wharf... and waiting for the near crane to be parallel to the far one (it was being used at the time).

Processing:
Crop, NeatImage, then several adjustment layers in CS2:
1) Channel Mixer (R+82 G+124 B-42)
2) Levels
3) Curves (for slight contrast lift).

This image was shot against a dusk sky. A lucky grab shot on the way to the railway station after work. (I'd been struggling with inspiration for the Silhouettes Challenge)

** I should get into the habit of taking my 350D around with me, the little Canon is a bit noisy

I find it real tasteful b&w... cranes ofcourse are not moust beautiful things to shot but you did it really good.

I like this picture. It reminds me of one of my own pictures and I love the way the crane in the foreground seems to get out of the frame. These cranes make nice silhouettes.

This isn't much of a silhouette as the light is on the cranes for the most part.
