This was my first challenge ever. I gave this a 10. I'm not sure I'd give it a 10 these days, but I still love it! |

Too bad you couldn't clone out the sensor dust. Hope people don't vote you down for it. Good silhouette. |

This is such a nice shot. The real problem that appears is that your cameras sensor is so dirty. I still give it a 7. Now go and clean that sensor. :) |

Very nice composition... maybe a bit over processed? There is a halo around the figure... and some noise... but, it can be improved with a little bit of work. |

To me, something went awry in post edit. You should have seen the one that got away! I think the little guy back there with the long rod caught it. |

Nice capture. Looks a bit over-processed (especially the interface between the land and the water) |

Nice action shot! Colors in the sky work really well, was this planned out or did you get a fish dinner that night? ;) nice job |

I like the idea, and the action of the catch. However there are a couple flaws that I am sure will cost you dearly in your score. First of all - a lot of sensor dust! While unfortunately basic editing does not allow for clean up of this, cleaning your sensor before the shot can prevent it. A simple test shot at a clear blue sky every day or two can be beneficial as to when you need to clean. Next, the image looks like the focus was quite a bit off, and you tried to recover it by sharpening. there is only so much sharpening can do though - thus the halo effect around the fisherman. The composition is strong, and the action of the rod I like. I hope my comment is found to be helpful to you.
Good luck in future challenges. |
