 Took a spotlight from below and behind. Use a piece of red material and moved it in front of the light behind the piece.

I'm not sure it exactly meets the challenge because the border line is not very interesting and quite all the shot interest is given by the few beard details.
In other words, it is surely a silhouette sjot, but all the interest is due to something should not be visible in a "true" silhouette.

tad too much detail which takes a way from silhouette...I like a touch of detail to give life and depth to silhouettes though...

Here's what I think about silhouettes: If the subject needs front lighting to help you understand what it is, then it is not a strong candidate for silhouette lighting.
