| So interesting... the title is a contradition, as is the photo itself. The silhouettes weave in and out of focus. Some are sharp, others are fuzzy and soft, so that the same time, I can almost feel a prickly scratch of thorns, and a sort of fuzzy tickling sensation. Very unique and evocative image! |

Hello Brad,
I'm saying pain! :) I like the tone of this picture. I like the vertical lines. They are leading my eyes up and down and always finding something new to watch. I didn't see the face in the bottom left corner. Maby if it was a bit lighter people would notice it more? Good luck in future challenges.

| Great out-of-the-box choice of subject matter. I don't like that the person is not as in focus as the thorns. Your crop is way too wide as well. A single hand griping (or appearing to grip -- ouch!) the thorns would make for a much stronger image. |

| Nice color tone. The soft focus on the arms/hands gives this an abstract quality, but doesn't work for me because it contrasts too much with the sharp detail of the ocotillo(?) spines. |
