Well really...this is not the great Southwest. I had to resort to different means. I went with something nature like rather than a building so here's what I came up with.

BTW: I read that Missing thread like every hour on the hour from the start to the very end and only posted once after the 07/30/06 false alarm. I was so relieved and happy once Steve was found and OK except for the car and camera. Hope everything gets replaced. I have no thoughts about having a GPS...I have an idea what it is...just make sure you let somebody know what you are doing. Great to have you back and give me a 10, please! LOL!

Post: Shot at the Kater Street Garden. A new water lily had cropped up (though I hoped to get a blooming lotus, there just weren't any...rats!) Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Sharpen and save. Got my Wacom out and drew a representation of Steve into the picture (what the heck is a Steve brush...do you need full Photoshop for that? Guess so!) Originally, I had the left arm and leg crooked around the reed....but the left leg looked like it was missing so I went with both legs with the idea that the left leg was on another lily petal a bit further back. I was just imagining from reading so much about Steve and how he goes and stays hours on end to get the shots that he wants that he might venture something like this to get the ultimate shot of a subject. Seems like he would.

Well I hope you have gotten through all this, Steve, and that all the kicks in the pants (almost thought of putting a shoe mark on your butt but thought it out of place) and that you get back to shooting soon! You know despite all the negativity going on around the sight, I'm just thinking that we all too soon forgot how so many of the members here pulled together to do something really great for one of our own and that it surely was one of the really bright moments of the sight. I hope we can all keep remembering that.

Ya know, I was wondering exactly what happened to me. All is clear to me now. It makes perfect sense. This explains everything - why I could not see to find my way out, how I could not locate known landmarks, how I could travel large distances everyday but still get nowhere and why I could be lost for so long in such a small area without finding my way out. Thanks! I feel a lot better. ;) - Steve

Lovely flower, funny figure. I like the color here, the lighting is nice as well, though I wish the image was just a bit sharper over all. The little man is cute and definitely grabs my attention. I don't think it enhances the photo in general at all but it does go with the whimsical side of this challenge. I gave a 5

Cute idea, but the hand drawn "Steve" next to the real flower just don't go together to me.
