 reduce noise, saturation. I really don't like soft focus that much so probably didn't pull it off well. If this was advanced editing a good thing to do is blur the highlights only. that way it does not look soft- it retains the details. I couldn't stand blowing away the flower detail but without the selection tools I am damned. :0P

If this was shot with a subdued flash or reflected light to give some catchlight in her eyes this would be awesome!

It looks like the focus is on the flower, I think it might be more pleasing to have focus on the girl; it almost hurts to look into her eyes.

I'm reminded of Peanuts for some reason. this is Charlie Brown's POV as he watches a girl give him a flower for the first time. she doesn't consciously realize that she is hiding behind the flower. Peanuts are shy people! 8

I see this as narrow DOF but not necessarily soft focus. Hmmmm Maybe I better go look up some examples. Cute idea.

I like the colours in this shot, the softness of the hands work well with the small simple flower. I do find the darkness of the eyes a little distracting but other than that I like this image :o)

Little flower? If it is little girl I think you have her too out of focus, not soft focus. Nice idea though
