Gotta' say this caught me off guard.
Took some homework to set this up to look like the real thing.
Congrats on a fine job - one to be proud of. |

I love this one and think it should have placed higher. 14th is a great finish, but his should have been in the top 10, IMO. I gave it a 10. |

Definately my favorite, and I also think it has been underrated. But in saying that, there were some really great entries in this challenge. I congratulate you on getting in the top 20, as you have been so consistant lately, and producing some really magical images, like this one. Very close to being on the front page, and a great score.

Need some negative space beneath her feet to heighten the impression of flying...just my $.02. Grand concept. |

Very nice idea, and good execution overall. However, Mary seems a bit soft (no pun intended!). A little more sharpness would make this extra good. |

This would be great if you'd got your model to jump slightly so that you could crop out the platform, but still a nice shot. Good costume too! :) |

Not a bad idea...captured the Mary Poppins feel and this meets the challenge. I give you an above average score for a worthy effort |

I like the concept a lot. Something's just missing for me. Maybe the cloudy sky isn't interesting enough, or maybe it's that "Mary" seems rooted to the ground. Even a little air under her would've added a lot. 5. |

:spoken with a british chimney sweep accent: Oh, I know that silhouette anywhere - Mary Poppins!!!:-)This is a wonderful shot trying to capture the magic of Mary Poppins. I love the silhouette of the woman against a blueish grey sky. The vast negative space works for it keeps the eye's attention on the main focus/element of the composition. With the hat, the umbrella, and the overcoat she does take on the impression of Mary Poppins but there are two little things that could have strengthened the connection to the charming mysterious Mary Poppins even more (I know picky picky, but spit-spot lets have a look into it shall we?;-) ). The Mary Poppins we are all familiar with and love is that brought about by Julie Andrews performance. She always made it a point to stand with her toes sticking out and heels together because she wanted to remain true to the illustrations in P.L. Travers Mary Poppins books. Also, there is the flower that sticks up out of her hat and I see no adornment on this figure. Lastly the pose of the model seems a tad stiff. Her movements seem forced in this photo as that the arm with the bag is lifted much too high and the arm sporting the umbrella seems held too stiff - I would imagine that the arm holding the umbrella would be holding much more aloft in order to catch a breeze to take flight. |

love the idea. One of my favs. I would have given one additional point higher if it was either more of a silhouette or brighter in color. It appears to be in the middle. 9 |

I love that. Still remember seeing that movie when I was 12 - it was $2.50 to get in and that was VERY expensive.
Great image. The movement of the wind on her coat and skirt - BRAVO |
