my suggestion would be a less centered crop. Sometimes rules should be broken, but IMHO this is not one of those times. Sorry!

I like the centered composition and the dramatic conversion. It looks oversharpened to me. I can see a halo between the dark rocks and the sky.

A dramatic shot, indeed. And after reading your title, I can see why you'd name it Mordor. But I don't get a sense of magic or mystery from the picture without the title. 4.

I wonder how it'd look with more cropped from the right so the snowy mountain on the left contrasted with the dark rock on the right.

I could have gone with a slightly better B&W conversion. I do think the terrain looks Mordorish. The centered nature of the spire isn't the best though. I would have moved it, if possible, to the left and get more of those great clouds over there. 5

The peak is a little too central for me. Lighting is a little flat as well. I'm not sure if the B&W worked in this image. I'd like to see it in color.

Looks a little grey on my screen. Looks like it could do with some more contrast to give it some more drama as befitting the title.
