 As soon as I saw this challenge, I knew that this was what I wanted to try. Very pleased with the result - it turned out exactly like I had envisioned.

This was a fun challenge to shoot, because I got to tie up my wife ;o)

Effect was acheived using used motor-oil and dirt from our garden (my wife is such a trooper).

pp: (i normally use Picasa simply for very quick shot-selection, and then CS2 for my 'real' processing... but i actually liked the effect to the point that i kept some of the quick-edits).

it's good, i like the composition and idea, but the hands 'look' like they were just dirtied for the shot, what I mean is that it looks obvious...but I won't mark you down for that as its a great image 7
