What can I say about this photo that hasn't been said? Congrats on the 4th place finish.
The composition is lovely. The orange flames really stand out against the very understated scenery. It is a very calm and peaceful setting, and draws you into it.
The only thing that I can say is that the big rock tends to compete with the fire for my attention.
Congrats again!!

I think the best answer I can give you Lárus is the photo itself and the results in the challenge. But in fact I did take several shots this evening with different settings, but this one had the right grainy appearance I was trying to achieve. |

Fire on cold beaches does seem to be the ticket for top-10 in this one :-) Congrats on a fine image. |

wonderful work beautiful shot perfectly composed and the orange from the fire and the glow on his face really draws attention to the subject fire without taking away from the lovely setting. Fantastic work! |

I think what makes this image so awesome is this: the surroundings are so beautiful and impressive looking, but that has the potential to draw attention away from the fire in a composition like this. But the colors of the surroundings are understated (while still being pretty), so the fire is what the eye is drawn to more. |

To be honest the scenery in this stops me voting lower as the fire aspect itself doesn't really say much |

Gorgeous! I think this one is my favorite (don't tell my husband
since he entered Fire II). I love the gray tones and the contrasting bright fire. I can feel the warmth in all that chill. Bumping you up to 9. Good luck. |

I like the dark, misty feeling the shot has and then the great bit of light the fire gives here :o) |

I am so appreciative of the photos that give fire a context like this! Good light here, but I would like to see it a bit sharper. |

I like how the fire is the only real color in the shot. It has such a deserted island/desolated feel to it. I like it! |
