 My family & I took a road trip this weekend, with a finger in the air we headed from California's Valley to the coast. We ended up at Venice Beach, giving the children an early education on life. Being in a wheelchair, I feel that I almost have a certain privledge. I am able to set my breaks & let the world scurry around me. I approach and get approached more now than when I fit the tourist image.
This woman was traveling with a mass of younger women & a dog. She told me that she had been on the streets for many years. This outdoor sink had the right pressure to brush teeth. We talked for about 15 minutes before she suddenly stood up, eyed the group & said they were on to the " super rich " hills to look for quality throw aways.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. I fully appreciate them one and all. I was going for a darker image. What you can't tell from the image is that this outdoor facility is all covered in a metal type substance. I thought that by making the subject herself a bit subdued..it might be more of an emotive photograph.

Subject should be a bit lighter, other than that the perspective is good and the concept is great.
