 I don't really expect this to do well at all, but i liked the idea, and i still like the picture, so what the heck.

Editing was fairly simple.... converted from raw afterupping the brightness, went to photoshop, desaturated all channels except blue, changed levels around, then lowered the blue channel desaturation. resize for web. upload.

Too much noise in the photo. The stark brightness of the tree trunk vs. the rest of the tree seem to fight each other in my opinion.

Nice shot, but the grainyness of the technique you used is very distracting to the overall quality of this photo.

There are times when a very grainy effect is good, but I don't think it works especially wel for this photo.

I like the colours here, however this is a rather noisy shot of a tree and doesn't have the "from the ground up" feeling. Sorry.

too grainy for my tastes, but I like the darkness it makes you feel...reminds me of the "Tales from the Darkside."
