| Nice composition and idea. My only suggestion would have been to frame it so that the egg was just a touch further up and to the right just a smidgen. It feels a little close to the edge for me. karmat |

I like this very much. I give it a 10. I like the lighting and shadowing and especially the contrasting textures, also the lines and the slight silvery look. Great Job!!!!

| The black and white leaves the crate looking really metallic, which is the opposite of what it is. Egg texture is great. I give you 5 for texture, 3 for my personal overall impression. 8 nards656 |

| This is a great idea. I love all the textures of the carton and the lighting is great...the shadows really enhance the photo. Even the texture on the egg can be seen. Great job. 8 kdjohnson |

| I like it :) The texture here creates some nice teasing lines and shadows for sure... I also like the fact that I can see the surface texture on the top of the egg. You did a great job on this photo... I would have probably blown the egg surface completely out if I tried this :) = 9 - jmsetzler |

| Nice creative shot, though you've lost most of the texture of the egg shell. Different lighting would probably have messed up the cardboard though. I like it. |

| Oh, I like this image. Very original. When the image slowly unrolled on my screen (have a slow modem) was wondering what those mountains had to do with the egg. Then I discovered it was the carton! lol Just see a little too much sepia in the carton, not enough contrast and don't care for the black "shape" above the egg. |

| Nice twist on a common item. I like how you achieve a great sense of depth with the shadows. The smooth egg contrasting with the rough carton adds a nice touch and makes the composition complete and more interesting. |

| Absolutely awesome! This one better end up in the top three otherwise I will be really disappointed in the voters. ;-) I've rated all images for this challenge and yours is the only perfect 10 I gave. My reasons: great composition, focus, exposure, lighting and, of course, unique subject. Excellent work! |
