I wish you had used a more shallow DOF so the b/g was more blurred out because all those people and stuff in the b/g takes away from that lovely bird in flight.

I like the view of the hawk flying straight on! It seems as though the lighting is a little harsh--some of the details on the bird are lost.

Looks like a fun event to attend. Concerning your image, the background is way too busy and distracts from your primary subject. The owl is a little blurry (hard to freeze motion coming toward you). I don't know...overall, "ok", "fine", just not a big "WOW" in there. Sorry. Good luck in the challenge.
