pretty much straight out of camera. cropped/rotated, slight adjustments for levels/curves/hue sat.

Yeah - sorry about that 1 Skip - just thought that there were a few droplets out of place.

Great exposure and capture of course! However, if I can crit just one tiny thing... it would be that I'd have loved her mouth to be open as if shouting with joy - to reflect the rest of the treatment.

Wonderful pic. I too find the rotation a neat idea but found myself turning my head to look at it.I'm a hobby photo guy turned glass worker doing kilnwork with what freetime I have now. I still drop in to see the wonderful work you all do here.
This one is just plain fun to look at!
Great work!

Skip, congrats on another ribbon, I knew you were up to no good! :-)

My wife was watching as I was flipping through all the entries (didn't vote on this challenge, though)and when I came to this one I stopped for a bit and we both said, "Wow, that's really cool!"

Great exposure. High enough shutter speed? Hehe. The rotate was a unique idea, though to me it would be better to leave it au natural, as the background water is a giveaway to the original orientation hence just causing me to rotate my head when I look at it. I found the crop to be a tough choice in my own entry, as I had a lot of leaway. I wonder if you had a tough time deciding for this entry, as it is a wonderful spiral.

Cheers,
Slippy

Well done.. congrats :o) Love this picture, will surely try it out one of these days with my boys...

p.s. thanks for your comment on my "motion stop" picture. It was the flying red... Could not shoot at the propeller speed (3000rpm) but decided to submit it anyway (mostly because I love this ac and my father is flying it)...

Good choice to rotate this. Works great this way. I'll be surprised if this doesn't make the front page. Stopped motion - yes. Fun to look at - yes. Clean, sharp, properly exposed, and easily identified subject - yes. Well done!

"Great Job" from the "Great Job Baggie"! This is pretty phenomenal. The clarity and sharpness is wonderful, as is the motion that you have stopped. I love how it just swings from the lower right hand corner to the upper left corner. Great use of space in your canvas size. The water flow and position of the hair in this really make the shot, as does the background color which allows the main subject and the movement of the water to really STAND OUT. I gave you a 9 originally, and then went back in and gave you a 10. Originally thought it was near perfect, and after a second look, it is perfect.

Great job with the stopped motion. The vertical orientation of the photo is bugging me though. I keep turning my head to the side to view it. I'm sure I'll be the only person that it bothers, but it does have a huge impact on the photo for me.
Focus and clarity are amazing. Great detail in the water and hair. I love the colors too. Excellent stopped motion, perfect for the challenge.
Lighting on her face could be a little more even but it doesn't distract from the photo at all.
Congrats.
