| Although they add a nice backdrop, your subject is a little overwhelmed by the sunset and clouds. Good athletic position to represent "stopped motion", wish his lower foot was off the ground a bit more to avoid being swallowed up in the dark horizon line. |

| This is a cool move to observe, even better to photograph! ;^) Tough lighting situation here. The sun is a little blown out but I don't see much choice without some supplemental lighting to use on the soccer player from this angle. You've stopped the motion pretty well. The more I think about it the more I wish the player was exposed (lit) a little more. How about fill-flash with the EV set to -1.7 or so? Just a thought. Cool pic overall. Good luck in the challenge. |

| Awesome. If I could make one change though, it would be to play with the contrast so as to make that sky REALLY pop. The grass in the foreground is a little distracting, too, but the image overall is very impressive. |

| Oh wow, awesome light and a great action shot....I would have cloned out the stray grass, but that's just a personal thing...very good shot |

I like this shot on a few levels:
the pose of the footballer
his natural expression
the overal colour of this photo
the clouds and the sky, the sun light
the sharp focus of the background (good deep DOF!)
the crispness of the subject and ball.

very nice shot, but, for the challenge, you've got that hint of motion blur they warned against. maybe if you had just bumped your flash up just a notch.
ignore any and all comments about the blown out sky. people that make those comments obviously have never looked closely at real world photography :P |
