just to bright of lighting need to go into the minus on exposer or shoot from a different angle preferable with the sun to your back. |

The tree seems to be lost in the background. It doesn't realy stand out. Maybe a color version of this would help. |

Good composition taken at a time of day when the lighting was favorable. But the foreground tree blends into the background; there needs to be more tonal separation. |

gotta be Arizona or Utah, which means it started out a brilliant red/orange - which makes me wonder why the olive duotone. the choice of colour flattens the contrast a bit, and i think that detracts from the compositional contrast between the tree and the rock. I shot one almost identical to this last week at Tonto NM :). I'd like to see it in colour as well.

Pretty shot....love the composition. Not 100% sold on the tones, but this is a good shot. |
