I feel like this is laking a point of focus. It seems more like a shot of design and I like it in that sense. I do however wish it had more depth, as is it seems very flat. You've some hot spots but that dosen't really hurt the image. I know you can't control it, but i would prefer to not have the bence in the shot. Still though, this has a good design and shows an eye for composition. |

Let's get the basics out of the way first: the exposure's fine. :) I might prefer to have the bench out of there, but hey, I realize you took a photo of a real place, not a staged shot.
I don't find the wall all that interesting to look at. The texture's kind of washed out, although the stones in the upper right provide some variety.
But what's interesting is that I'm having a figure-ground problem. That is, I first saw the two green areas as the subject, and thought "huh. waayyy off-center in a very deliberate manner."
Then my mind flipped and saw the central column as the subject. I quite literally hadn't even glanced at it at first.
And then I flipped back again.
So it hits me more like an abstract. If that's your intention, you did it very well. :) |
