 Really dumb, I know...will it get my first ribbon (brown)?
"*Bang*" is on the background (laptop screen). This is what happens when you wait for the last 30 minutes to get a challenge submission. Wanted to get a motion-blur effect of shooting my "hand" gun. Didn't really work...should have also put a bullet on the background, maybe some smoke...

Desaturated, levels, cropped, USM, resized, USM, saved for Web.

I like the strobe effect but not working for me when I think of action

While it is a "legal shot" and meets the editing rules, I find it a hard fit to meet the challenge description.

Legal shot maybe, but the theme was Action. I don't see the correlation between anything in your photo and the theme.

I like the initial concept, however not sure I like the words on the pic.
the black and white contrast is good and the detail of the shadow of the fingers .
