 Used a 1.4x converter on the lens so the effective focal length was 280mm. That was not NEARLY enough though and this image is heavily cropped, the image this was downsized from was only 1319x879 so I won´t be printing this out, this is merely for this challenge and nothing else.

Anyway, am not serious about bird photography so I am curious on how this will do. I realize the image quality is not so good but I hope the moment makes up for that. In particular the slight blur of the wing and the lack of clarity in this image bother me but not very much.

Image processing is very little, just cropping, increased contrast, adjusted the WB slightly to a more cool hue and finally sharpened and added the frame.

Very nice shot. Tweak the colors a little for a more vibrant color and it would be top notch. Heck, it is still awesome like this!

Absolutely stunning shot! Congrats on a great image no matter how it scores in this challenge. My guess is it should rise to the top quite easily.

You've brought it all together on this. Well composed, exposure right on (water reflections are tough to deal with sometimes), sharp crisp focus, and just the right shutter speed to get the faintest hint of motion.

I like this, but think a closer crop would have made a more impactful shot...I like the light and the birt is nice and sharp
