this was really tough to shoot.

I thought I'd try something in the vein of Tom Robbrecht's Mediterranean Food, Anyone? and hoped I might learn something in the process. I did.

I tried several setups before I settled on the one I used for this shot. I had two lights shooting through large plastic bags on either side of my image plane. This was not ideal.

I couldn't get a good white in the background without highlights that were too bright; and in PP, trying to bring the BG back to white, the transparent tape dispenser became almost invisible.

I should have traded out the tape dispenser for a stack of post-its.

I would probably have refined this shot further, but doing so would have continued to monopolize the majority of my living space, and I wasn't willing to let that continue any longer.

I'm not entirely happy with this, but I'm submitting it anyway, because it took so much work to produce!

I like the way this picture is "composed" compared to a "jumble" image. If you know what I mean.

Very nice composition.
Well displayed and lit. I like the variety of colors and shapes.
I struggle with the two transparent items on the right and it's a bit distracting, but doesn't take away from the overall shot at all.

I've always liked the idea of a setup like this. interesting stuff in your drawer! ;)
too bad the white tape is almost disappearing in the background and the left top of the photo is darker then the rest.

Another classic image for this challenge, and I hope it does well..... Maybe the white on white is a little hard to see, but still the idea, and also the composition is very good.....
