I think this deserved to end up way higher (it was my only 10 for this challenge, together with this one).

I can't believe this shot ended up where it did, I expected it in the top 3, or at least 10. It was such a creative take on this challenge. I like the 'other objects' a tube (going down the tube perhaps?) And the giant dead flower, such symbol of true beauty being replaced (to me anyway). Thanks for the thought provoking image, sorry it did not fair too well.

i like this idea, but something about how the bw contrast/brightness or whatever has me thinking..its like it needs more light, or more contrast or something in its levels or toning.

Great focus in this shot. The great contrast really adds to the shot. Every item seem to pop out of the picture. Good shadows in the piece helps with this. You can get the feeling of texture in everything . From the pebbles to the backwall. Beautiful shot.

I woulda called it "Freedom TO think". Wonder if any one else will get it. Bonus points for originality!

Great idea. The photos a bit so-so though. I think it's mainly in the composition - it's a little too centered. Maybe tighter on the TV and satelite dish, with just enough of the garbage can to recognize what it is, would have been a little more interesting, visually.

Nice idea! I think that leaving only the TC/receiver set in the trash can would have made the message more effective.

I think I see where you're going, but it took me a while to see what you were showing me.

This is a nice, clean black and white photo, though the meaning is a little hard to grasp.

Good social comment. You'll have to stop reading the papers too - and talking to people, and listening to radio... Nice detail and composition, as well as a great take on the challenge. [8]

Really liked the idea. Challenged my preceptions of freedom. Normally I favor color, but in this case B&W seemed an excellent choice.

Excellent concept. It's so easy to ignore the effect a TV has on your mind until you've been away from it for a little while. This works nicely in b&w, nice range of tones and textures. 8

I love the black/white.
I think without the title it's kinda far out there. But I like it.

Interesting interpretation. The subject isn't of great interest to me but it is a nice composition.
