Great job with the composition and lighting. The textures work great here. This should do very well. Good luck :)

Oh I like this very much. It is a traditionally zen image and something seen rather often but your lighting really brings something new to the balanced pile of rocks idea. The light and shadow play is excellent, gives me a thought about light and dark, good and evil and how they balance each other out. I think the focus is great and the composition is excellent. There is a simple elegance to this image that really draws me in and I absolutely find it still, harmonious and calming. To me this doesn't just depict an idea associated with zen, but it truly has a zen feeling to it as well and I've found only a few photos in this challenge that allowed me to get an inner connection to zen through them. Well done. I gave an 9 and updated to add a favorite.

Although there have been many entries like this, so far, this is my favorite of them. The stones are very natural looking, there is interest in the various sizes of the stones and the way they are stacked. I love the darkness and use of light in this one, which is what sets it above the others of this type. Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'!

I like the composition of the stones but feel the shot could have been better lit. 7

though this appears to be a popular subject for the challenge, it's been done so professionally and wonderfully that this really does stand out for me. the mix of greys are visually very appealing - go you for not resorting to a jet black background. the lighting is superb; i love how it brings out the texture of the rocks in such a tangible touchable way. the mix of light and shadows also gives it an unearthly asteroid-like feel too. gorgeous - 10

Cliche...and yet it works :) I like your choice of lighting from top. It makes the texture of stones to be well highlighted. Goodluck.8.

Image seems a bit too dark on the right side. Very nice.
