 I managed to catch a friend of mine studying the bell on the Carolina while we were there. I liked the casual pose, and to me it speaks of looking back at history.

whoa- wait a sec, this picture was in my top ten favorites. It is a powerful image! ANd technicall excellent. Why is it way down here??? A victim of narrow minded challenge defnition? Maybe her father served on the boat, maybe he was out at sea when she was born. Who can say it's not nostalgic. You were robbed!

The person standing on the deck takes away from the subject, IMO.
