greetings from the critique club:
i think this shot is hilarious and extremely well-composed. technically i don't have too many suggestions for you: the point-of-view, shadow, and crop (i almost typed 'crap') all work very well together.
although it's calm and balanced, it seems that people shots didn't fare too well in the zen challenge. i think that's unfortunate, because i believe this fits very well.
sorry i don't have more details than this. i realy think you nailed it. |

I love where you were going with this image. If he had been free floating without the noodles, it would be a 10 in my book. Calmness, solitude, texture, and a sense of tranquility. Congrats. |

Great shot for the challenge! Love the minimalism and the 'zen' feeling this gives me. |

i think you've definitely captured some element of the whole zen thing; the lad appears deeply relaxed in an almost medatitive sort of way. the high view point and angle also adds a higher degree of interest, and makes it feel different. the lovely hotel-brochure blueness of the pool just adds to a sense of tranquility; and technically i can't fault any element of the shot, from composition to focus to everything. i like it :) 9 |

Wow, looks like a really giant pool, and he looks calm, I like it. Maybe I would adjust the selective color and make the cyan more blueish. |

Ahh, fantastic! Love the use of the negative space here, but even better is that it contains relaxing shapes of reflection. The model looks relaxed and peaceful, and the gentle curves of the foam floaters adds yet another element. Wonderful! |

Although the subject is at rest, and the subject is minimal in the overall photo, the business that the light creates in the water disturbs the overall attempt at a quiet photo. |
