 This is the road just behind my house and when new mornings are born only silence can be heard, sometimes even the birds stop singing.

post processing:
Straightened the horizon, resized to fit the challenge, turned it to sepia, curves, sharpening after resizing.

I thought this was not only very Zen, but very beautifully done too. Should have placed higher just for the title! Great job.

Definitely my favorite so far. Love the sweeping curve of the trees and the textures of the clouds and the trees. Too bad about the compression artifacts (giving the sky a mottled look and adding a noise halo around the trees). You realize your image file is 36KB, far smaller than the maximum 150KB? - 8

Great photo. I really like the colors (or lack of colors) and it portrays the sense of that early morning calm perfectly. The copmosition is great, though I do wish the top and right of the foremost tree were not cropped off. 7.
