Yep, I think you made the right choice going with this one. I agree maybe a tighter crop on top or even a square crop might have helped a bit with the composition. Still a great shot though! :)

Your title makes it seem you weren't thinking of the challenge being the same color subject and background... but the petals and the negative space are the same color anyway, so it doesn't matter!

I like the composition and the colors... the great deal of negative space works nicely here I think.

I think a square crop or closer to it would have served this shot well. I appreciate some negative space but this one is just a bit too much.

color on color is about the same color on itself. However your petals accomplish that. Very interesting crop. 6

I like the idea and the choice of flower but the crop may have a little to much open area, good color.

Take a picture of a colored subject or subjects on the same color background.
