The dome of the Colorado State Capitol was plated with 24 karat, locally mined gold, in 1908 to commemorate the gold rush that began in 1859. There's more about the history of the capitol building here: //www.colorado.gov/dpa/doit/archives/cap/gold.htm

Fix the tilt and this image would be even better.

The second time I've seen this photo in this challenge but I'm not gonna be a nice cuz its a double. Its a very crisp and clean image with amazing detail and I can see you took the time to do that but why wouldn't you take the time to straighten the building??? A 1 or 2 degree CW rotation would have increased the score huge. I'd also suggested darkening the sky a bit to bring out the gold in the top of the building instead of having it look high key or over contrasted (which haoppens with that color sky). I might have also use a brightening tool on the trees to bring out the green more to complete the photo. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <6>

Probably would have scored an <8> had the building been straight. (yes it bothered me that much)

Good composition, but over-sharpened

Dang, everybody lives in Denver and everybody had my idea! I gave it a 10 because it is well done, and us Denverites have to stick together.

What capitol is this? Looks too sharpened and LOOKS like you desated the rest of the dome...
